Back story

The year was 2043 when a disease became known. It didn't last long, and only pregnant women could get it. It wasn't a threat to anyone at first and most of them didn't know they had it, but when the women who had this disease gave birth to the child, the child had wings. Hundreds of children were taken from their parents in the following three years the disease was still out there, which was known as "The Winged Generation". They were brought to a laboratory, far off on a huge island, miles away from any civilization. There, they tested the children, dissecting them like frogs, and throwing out the dead ones like garbage. The children were raised, but teaching them wasn't allowed, for they were not human. They were treated as animals, locked in uncomfortable cells with chains to hold them down and bars over the windows. Other diseases were killers as well, considering they didn't have medical treatment for any of them.

Story Plot

Today, as a child of The Winged Generation, you notice much has changed from when you were first brought to the island. They are now teaching you things, giving you classes for fighting, monitoring you day and night like you were being trained for war. Doctors and military men are replacing many of the scientists, but those who are still remaining are still experimenting, killing of your family, one child at a time.

The doctors don't hurt you in any way, but they are meaner. The military men work you to death, yelling in your face half the time. And the scientists are rarely seen, but they cower from the new owners of the laboratory. You are defenceless, but you are being treated better than when the scientist were running the place. The chains have been removed, beds have been put in, white padded room built in a whole new sector for you to sleep in. The old area is off limits, and being examined for demolition.

You find your chance, you and some of the other teens there, to escape, for, when that area is destroyed, a huge hole will be in the laboratory leading out to the rest of the island. Though, just getting out of your room unnoticed is impossible, so how would you be able to make it to the hole without someone seeing you?

Powers

Each of you have a different set of powers (listed below) that the scientist hadn't known about, because you yourself had found out no less than a month ago. Your rooms are resistant to any of them, though, so it's no use trying. You don't have the same strength number as a human, meaning you are stronger, and you can run faster as well along with healing faster than any human. Getting outside may be your only hope to save yourself and lose them forever, though it's not that simple...

Powers: (I tried to make it so those with the elements could also control some of the weather)

1. Invisibility- can turn invisible for no longer than 40 minutes at a time.

2. Mind reading- can read the minds of others, but not manipulate.

3. Mind freak- can manipulate the minds of others, but of their own kind (as in not human)

4. Fire freak- can control fire with your mind and when you are burned by fire, it heals in no time. Also, you can control lightning.

5. Water freak- can control water with your mind (cannot breathe under water) and can make it rain.

6. Air freak- can make strong winds appear from no where, and can control when it is sunny or when the clouds come in and make the skies dark.

7. Earth freak- can control plants and earth (rocks) and can move the moon (with your mind)

8. Telekinesis- lifting things with your mind.

9. Animal Freak- you can transform into an animal for 40 minutes at a time.

Secrets

This is government work, meaning you are there for a reason rather than just being killed. The military is there, teaching you to fight, only because there is a war coming. But this war isn't between you and the humans. It is between the Wolf generation, a generation like you, but they can turn into a wolf, huge and mighty. They have powers just like you do, but you have the advantage to fly, and they have the advantage of running faster than you.

The Wolf Generation are controlled by a Lord Leopold, ruler of the island far from you, past another string of islands, which are to be the battlefield. You don't know any of this, though, but one scientist, Dr. Chevek, tells you about it. She is on your side to help you escape, but don't be fooled by her beauty, it can kill. She will help you out of the building, but once you are out there, she hands you the weapons, and tells you the battle has begun. She says no more than that, but she will meet up with you later to help you.

Rules

1. Sex is allowed, but don't describe every detail please!

2. Cussing is allowed, and I don't care if you drop the F bomb, but don't have a whole sentence with nothing but cussing.

3. Ask before you kill off another character, we might have a plan.

4. I'd rather not read something that has every description of how someone was killed, but do be descriptive.

5. Try to post regularly, and try to let us know when you'll be gone, if you can

PostSubject: Re: Children of the Winged Generation: *Started/Not Accepting*   Children of the Winged Generation: *Started/Not Accepting* EmptyFri Dec 17, 2010 5:58 pm

Name: Fawn

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Appearence: Her hair is purple, though, and her eyes are a stormy, burning green.

Wings: Black, with some feathers colored gray, white, and various shades of purple. But due to some wierd human thing, she can fold her wings completely into her back. Like, with skin over them and everything. She can unfold them when she wishes, and the skin over them just dissolves and BAH-BAM! Wings.

Personality: She's outgoing, very decieteful, and she can pick-pocket someone like no one's business. She has a lock-picking kit she has hidden in the fold of her left wing, which the lab specialists haven't found yet. When they give her her lab gown, she sometimes ties the single sting in such a way that she shows skin. She's a great friend, willing to die for the ones who care for her, but if you become her enemy, you may never wake up once you go to bed. Sometimes she wanders the halls at night, but doesn't escape, even though she can. No one knows why, and some even hate her for having the ability. She enjoys pulling tricks at night, too, and she rarely picks someone else's lock so they can escape.

Up For Love? Yes, and she's chased and courted by many young men, and teases some of them before accepting their courtship.

Powers: Animal Freak

Secret: When she gets scared, mostly triggered by an adrenaline rush, she has the ability to use every power. However, she does not know how to control it. She only gets what is necessary for the situation at hand.

Yeah...This picture ended up here, so just...roll with it...

PostSubject: Re: Children of the Winged Generation: *Started/Not Accepting*   Children of the Winged Generation: *Started/Not Accepting* EmptyFri Dec 17, 2010 7:18 pm

Name: Ren

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Appearance: Her hair is light blue (XD couldn't resist!) and her eyes are a soft, silvery color. She's rather on the short side. Also, I think it might be important to mention her legs have been rendered useless by an accident in one of the labs.

Wings: Pure white. Like dearest Fawn, she can fold her wings into her back, but they aren't covered by skin.

Personality: She's not particularly out-going; in fact, she tries to avoid people as often as she can. That's mainly because of her ability, though. Most of the time she sees things she'd rather not. Ren is unable to escape mainly due to her inability to use her legs and her inability to kill. She abhors labs, military officials, and scientists. She's pessimistic, and probably slightly emo...But hey, we all have our problems, and she's just a teensy-weensy bit certifiable. Nevertheless, she's dedicated to her cause: a mission with an uncertain outcome.
Oops. That's the third reason she can't escape...Ah, well. Details.

Up For Love? I intend to make her fall for someone, but she's none too willing...

Powers: Mind-reading.

Secret: She has a very...interesting background, and one that I haven't confirmed yet (therefore it's still a secret). She also lost a family member she was very close to, so she's very touchy about death. Aaand...Sometimes, though veeery rarely, she can see tiny little flashes of the future. ;D

I haz picture...but I can't find it. Siiiigh...

~Fawn~

I sat on the edge of my bed in my room-- My cell-- playing with my hair. It was dimly lit, and one of the harsh florescent lights overhead flickered nonstop, which drove me insane. There wasn't much to do when we weren't being tested. However, today was testing day and I knew everyone was anxious to get it over with. While all this prodding poking and being stuck with needles was not at the top of our to-do lists, it was basically the highlight of our week. We had mush for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We barely got to socialize, too.
I was shuffling my feet on the floor when Dr. Cheveck came in to give me my gown and take me to the lab, a huge room located in the middle of the facility. She gave me my gown and stepped out for a moment. I took off my shirt and my jeans, then tied the flimsy plastic string around my back. I was feeling modest today, so I decided to tie it properly. I opened the door silently after throwing my clothes in a corner, and joined the group of other teens like me. I had unfolded my wings, which were around a fifteen foot wingspan, halfway before I put the gown on. Only when they took measurements was I allowed to let them out completely. I spotted Ren's familiar wings in the crowd and slowed down to walk. As usual, she was wheeling forward slowly, a dark look on her face, which lightened only slightly when she saw me.
Hey. I thought. Ren was a mind freak, and I didn't like to talk.
"Hey." She replied sulkily.
I saw you weren't at breakfast this morning. Who am I supposed to wit with if you're shut up in that room all day? There was silence. Only the sound of my bare feet slightly slapping against the hard tile and her wheelchair squeaking sounded.
"I wasn't hungry."
You really need to eat, Ren. You're getting thinner by the day.
"Yeah? What are you going to do about it? maybe I want to die." She snarled. That was my Ren. Dear, sweet, bipolar Ren.
We all want to die, Ren. You're not the only person here. I thought quietly
"Do you see anyone else being wheeled around pathetically in a chair because they're a cripple? No. You don't."
No. I've seen different things. We're all suffering. Just in different ways. We were coming upon the lab now. I was a huge, circular room, with a circular vaccine station in the middle and cold, metal tables for us to lay on. Ren wheeled over to her bed, and I walked a few steps farther to mine.
"Yeah, well, it's worse for some people." She muttered as she was lifted onto the table by two doctors.
Yeah. It is.
Measurements were always first. I walked to one of the walls as they measured my height, shoe size, and weight. 5"7. 8 1/2. 106 pounds. Slightly underweight as always. I unfolded my wings the rest of the way, and let them settle into the curve of the circular wall.
"Fifteen feet, two inches." Said Dr. Cheveck. "The largest wings, as always."
I smiled a little, nodded, and returned to my table. I winced slightly as the first of many needles penetrated my skin, unleashing chemicals into my blood.
We wouldn't have to take much longer of this. I had a plan.

Name: Lena Duchannes (Lee- Nah Duke- Annes)

Age: 14

Gender: Female (Cheez told me to tell you guys that all female spots are taken up)

Appearance: Lena has shoulder-length pitch black curls that she usually has up in a messy sideways bun. She has electric, unnaturally green eyes and a thin build. She's pretty short, too. Only 5"3

Wings: Seemingly white, but they are actually a very light shade of orange. Many admire her Pure Wings, because they do not have flecks of any other color.

Personality: Lena is quiet, shy, and sneaky. Fawn is her only friend there, and the only one she really talks to. Fawn always tries to open her up to the world, but when she does, Lena just closes up more tightly. She's very smart-- a genius, the scientists call her. She has a photographic memory and an impeccable amount of knowledge.

Up for love?: Yeah, why not?

Powers: Mind freak

Secret (Everyone has one): Lena is quiet for a reason, and occasisonally stutters because her parents beat her when they found out she had wings. Only Fawn knows this.

Name: Lunar

Age 15? I just can relate more to younger characters.

Gender: Male

Appearance: Jet black 'shag' I think that's what you call it. His hair kinda looks like an anime's hair. He has a few white streaks in it, too. He's 6'0. Very fit, (working day and night pays off). Despite his black and white appearance, he has a beautiful golden brown tan. He has stormy light gray eyes, (or black, haven't decided.) too. Their unreadable. His incisors are unusually sharp (but not THAT sharp).

Wings: Huge midnight black wings. They turn white in the sunlight. No one knows why, but Lunar loves to brag about them.

Personality: Loves to tease. Most active at midnight. Pretty bright. Very sneaky. Good at making plans. Flips his hair a lot for fun. xD Smiles A LOT.

Up for love?: Loves to hit on the 'ladies'. Has had many relationships.

Powers: Mind Freak

Secret (Everyone has one): He can disappear completely at midnight.

PostSubject: Skylark   Children of the Winged Generation: *Started/Not Accepting* EmptySat Dec 18, 2010 10:12 pm

Name: Skylark

Age : 13

Gender: Female

Appearance: Bleach blond hair. Long and straight. Ties in to two braids each day; they rest on her shoulders. She's pretty tall, about 5'9. Her eyes are a shade of sky blue. She's rather pale, but overall pretty healthy. Very pretty. If she didn't have wings, she could be a prefect model in the outside world.....

Wings: Light blue, baby blueish. They can appear white at times, though.

Personality: She loves to laugh and would probably dance around by herself if she were allowed. She's gotten used to the guards and is friends with some of them, even though she isn't allowed to do THAT, either. She's awfully sneaky, moving without making a sound. Pretty flexible. 'Perfectly happy' many say about her. Truth is she's practically dying inside. Wanting to get out and be free. Mood swings occur often. She loves to feel the sun on her face, but the moon is her true friend. Please, don't insult the moon.

Up for love?: Never had a boyfriend. She doesn't understand how people could actually love each other. To her, the puzzle pieces don't match..... Unless??????? ;D

Powers: Air Freak

Secret (Everyone has one): She has the gift to make people like her. But if she doesn't like you or you're mean to her, she can stare at you. Her stares aren't normal. It's like they stare into your soul, making you do things you wish you'd never done. Please don't make her stare at you. (Heh heh heh) She's always had a strange obsession with fire. Always. Has no idea why.

PostSubject: Re: Children of the Winged Generation: *Started/Not Accepting*   Children of the Winged Generation: *Started/Not Accepting* EmptySat Dec 18, 2010 11:50 pm

~Ren~

I slowly rolled back to my cell, reflecting on the results of the day's exams.
"Tch. Still underweight, and not growing an inch. Just look at her wing-span! Pitiful, absolutely pitiful...Looks like we'll have to change her dosage yet again."
They knew I was a mind freak, but they seemed to prefer ignoring that fact. Worthless assholes, the lot of them. Then again, I wasn't so much better myself. I was just taking up space...But I couldn't fix that, not yet. They'd only replace me with someone else, and I wasn't about to let anyone suffer in my place.
"Oops! I-I'm sorry," a petite young girl stammered as she ran into me, nearly knocking me over. I shot a glare at her, realizing I knew exactly who she was. Lena. She didn't know it, but she was probably my least favorite person in this entire institute. Just seeing her face made me inexplicably, uncontrollably angry.
"Out of my way, bitch," I hissed, still glaring at her. She was starting to get angry too, but I didn't know what she was thinking. We were both mind freaks; we both knew how to hide our thoughts. Maybe that was one of the things that made me hate her.
She didn't have the guts to fight back. I could see in her strange green eyes that she wanted to, so badly, but couldn't. Not against me.
I watched her back as she walked away, an odd sort of calm washing over me. It didn't last.
"I see you chased off Lena again," the all-too-familiar voice of Lunar greeted me. I glanced back at him over my shoulder, noting the ever-present smirk on his face, and suddenly felt a migraine coming on.
I rolled my eyes at the glint of anger present in his own dark orbs. "Get over it, Lunar. Aren't you supposed to be following that blondie around?" I snapped. His fists clenched at his sides, and I felt a slight surge of satisfaction.
"Quit taking out your issues on the rest of us, or I'll...I'll..."
"What, don't know how to threaten the poor crippled girl? Here, I'll give you an example," I said, a small, menacing smirk gracing my face. "If you don't mind your own business, I'll kill one of your pretty little friends...No, no, that's too easy. I think I'll give them a little reminder of everything they've endured since coming here. Yeah, that sounds about fair--"
"Shut up, Ren," he snarled, interrupting me. "We all respected Tao, but I think you've taken your obsession a little too far!"
A slow, freezing feeling, like ice spreading over the surface of the pond, suddenly filled me. It made its way through the inside of my body, filling each and every tiny little capillary, until it broke through the surface. I knew it was there, I just couldn't feel it. My mind had already done what I needed it to, seperating me from my body so the pain never reached me.
Silently, I wheeled myself forward, still completely numb to the world around me. Perhaps he tried to apologize, realizing he'd gone too far, but I paid him no mind.
I returned to my cell and collapsed in a corner, allowing my own personal hell to consume me.
I hope the morning never comes...
In the darkness, it is safe.
But when the sun rises,
We see everything...
Even the things we don't want to see.

~Tobi~
~This just gives ya'll a feel for her character, I s'pose. Mucho thanks ta' Cheez-chama for your post, it helped me develop her personality in a way I didn't originally see~
~XD It's kinda sad that almost everything that comes out of her mouth needs to be censored...~

~Lunar~

I was awoken by Ren's noisy wheelchair coming down the hall. I sat up on my hard white bed. It was cold, and the sun coming in through the windows didn't warm the place up. I looked around the room. Apparently, I was the last one up. As Ren entered the room, I saw Lena bump into her.

Well this can't be good.

Ren mouthed something to her, making her look as if she was going to cry or something. I walked slowly up to Ren. I knew she didn't like me, though it was fun to tease her. She'd get all angry.

So I confronted her. And so went the argument. I have to admit, I did feel bad after it, though. I would have tried to apologize, but I'm not that kind of person.

"Ello, my lovely!" I imitated one of the scientists, walking toward Fawn's direction.
Hey, Lunar. You got up a bit late, ya know?
I nodded. I scanned her to make sure all her limbs were in place.
"Hey, well they didn't kill you this time!" I smiled sarcastically at her.
Yeah......This time..... I wasn't sure if that was directed towards me, or she forgot I could read her thoughts. I shrugged it off.
"I guess it's my turn for the lab........." I shuddered at the thought. I hated the needles and the tubes they stuck into our skin.

I saw a man waiting on me. I have to admit, the lab scared me, but know one else knew....Expect Skylark. She'd listen to me all the time. Usually we'd be the only ones awake at night. I committed myself to walk out the door. I followed the huge man down the hall, listening to him grunt the whole time, as if he was expecting me to cower down at his very face. Moron.

As we approached the lab, I stopped dead in my tracks. The man stopped, too.
"C'mon, you idiot. We haven't got all day."
I didn't want him to kick me, but yet again I was kicked so much the back of my right leg had turned red. I continued to follow him toward the big sliding metal door. As I entered the lab, I could see the corpses of some people I once knew. And that is when I lost it.

~Fawn~
As I was walking slowly down the bright, sterile hallway, I heard a scream. Not just any scream, but Lunar's scream. I turned heel and ran in the direction of the sound that haunted my nightmares. I pulled the tingling warmth from inside me and felt my bones and muscles shift and contract. I felt the wind in my fur as I sped down the corridor in cheetah form. I was careful to turn back into a human before any of the scientists saw me. I bolted into the room and stopped short. I saw the Lunar struggling to pull away from the Doctors, and one guard standing by. I saw the corpses.

Fury overtook me as I leaped at the first person I saw, who happened to be one of the scientists trying to hold Lunar down.
"Let go! Let him go!" I shouted in the man's ear. I felt tears streaming down my face as I pried his hand off of Lunar's arm. Not knowing what else to do, I bit his arm as hard as I could. He howled with pain and ran out of the room. Lunar had a free hand to fight off the other scientist holding onto his other arm. I felt arms wrap around me and I kicked as hard as I could. However, I threw the man off balance and we slammed into the wall. My foot twisted, but I used my good foot to kick him in the groin, causing him to let go and shrink to the floor.

I stood there panting for a moment before Lunar grabbed my wrist and pulled me out the door. I hopped on one foot until I could pop my ankle back into joint, then I sped up to join him. We came upon my door and I grabbed his arm, pulling him in. I sat down on my bed and he flopped down beside me. Somehow he was grinning.
"What a RUSH, dude!" He laughed. I managed a half laugh, half giggle and looked down at my hands. I noticed my gown was torn and a little loose and lopsided. I sighed angrily and smoothed it out. I reached behind my back, feeling for that stupid peice of stretchy plastic.
"I got it." Lunar offered, and he put my hands in my lap and sat behind me. I felt his hands lightly brush my back as he tied the bane of my existence.
"I must say," He continued. "I think I liked it better the way it was before." He scooted up next to me, and I shoved him playfully the other way.
Then I heard footsteps. I pulled him up and shoved him under my bed. I then ran to my dresser and found some jeans and one of Lunars old T-shirts he gave to me. I yanked on the jeans, ripped off the gown, and threw the shirt on. I was pretending to concentrate on putting my short hair up in a ponytail when Dr. Danny burst in.
"You seen Lunar?" He demanded. I shook my head.
"Check the third floor. He hangs out up there sometimes." I suggested. Dr. Danny nodded and I went back to putting my hair up. First of all, Lunar hated the third floor. Second of all, I wanted the doctors and their goons as far away from me and Lunar as possible. I saw Luar's head emerge from under my bed, and soon the rest of him came out. I slipped in the last bobby pin as he walked up behind me.
"Cute." He said, tugging my shirt and flipping my ponytail.
"Thanks" I replied. Lunar hit on a lot of girls, but I knew he wouldn't cheat on me. He was just joking around. I turned to face him.
"You know," he murmured, his face inches away from mine and his wings twitching a little. "I think that you need to learn how to have fun." I cocked my head.
"Wha--?" I was cut off as he ducked under my arm and picked me up, dangling me over his shoulder.
"Put me down!" I laughed, flicking his feathers. He jumped and we both tumbled onto my bed. Why did he have to be so strong? I landed underneath him, sprawled belly down on the hard matress. He was laying belly down over me, so that we made an X.
"Get off." I mumbled into the matress.
"No."
I waited. He would eventually have to get up.
Next thing I knew, he had pulled some ninja move and I was sitting on his lap.
"What?" I felt my eyebrows pull down.
"Too fast for you?" He grinned a crooked grin, and I laughed. I drew my fingers through his shaggy hair. I was practically in love with his hair. It was perfect. Always clean and smooth.
"Gonna stay in my room again tonight?" He broke the silence.
"Sure." I said. I always got bored with my room, and Ren was always in a sour mood, so I sometimes followed Lunar to his room after dinner. We never did anything, really. we just talked about things that bug us, what it's like in the real world. I always slept in his bed, and no one ever comes to wake you up in the morning, so we never have anything to worry about. We had alarm clocks. We used them.

~Skylark~

I sat down by the small window waiting for the big man with the knife to take me to the lab. Lunar had left already, so I would just sit in my little corner all alone. I heard a scream. I snapped my neck around and pressed my ear to the white, ice cold wall to see if I could hear what was going on. It sounded like one of Lunar's screams, but I couldn't be sure. What if it was? Lunar despised the lab with every feather on his wings; that was a lot of feathers. I shuddered at the thought.

I began braiding my blond hair into my two usual braids. It was really cold, and I absolutely, with every bone in my body, hated the cold. Warmth. I thought. Warmth. Hot, even. But warm enough so we don't freeze. I looked around the room with my clear light blue eyes. Everyone was loosening up, some fanning themselves. I smiled happily. I stretched out my arms, cracked my knuckles, and stood up on my feet.

I slipped off my clothes and took the lab gown from under my cot. I tied a neat, small bow in the back. Then I turned back to face the others. Lena was sitting on her bed, her legs crossed. Fawn wasn't accompanying her....That was odd. I walked over and jumped on to Lena's bed. Her muscles tensed just a bit.

"Hey, what's wrong? I would think Fawn would be with you, right?" I ask gently. Lena is a very shy girl, no one talks to her much.
"I....I don't know where Fawn is..." She replied quietly, her head down, her eyes studying the floor very intensely.
"Oh.." I trail off there. I don't know what to say next. "I guess I'll just go now... Call me over if ya wanna talk any."

Ren was laying on her stomach in her bed. She looked as if she'd just gone through hell. Poor girl. She's never the least bit happy anymore.
"I heard that."
"Sorry. Didn't mean to offend you or anything," I whispered softly across the room.

I could see the man with the big knife walking down the hall to my cell. I knew he was here for me. He unlocked the door and I willingly went with him. He looked frightened, like someone or something had tried to attack him.
"Excuse me, are you okay?" I ask him gently, trying not to startle him in anyway. The sharp, pointed knife scared me half to death, and I didn't want it sliding across my neck anytime soon.

No response.

We entered the through the huge metal door that lead into the laboratory. Everything seemed normal if you don't count the needles and chemicals everywhere. And the blood...... I nearly fainted. I couldn't stand the sight or smell of it. I shivered as I jumped around the dark red liquid spilled on the floor.

"Ah, Skylark! Glad to see you." I got compliments from these scientists a lot.
"Look," I heard one scientist whisper to another, "her hair looks a bit stringy. Let her take a shower after the tests."
Wait, what!? An actual shower? Nobody was allowed to take a shower, at least not most of us. Why? I hate water! I stay quiet. I cringe at the 13 shots they inject into my blood. Depending on our age, that's how many shots we get. Some don't hurt, others do.

When their done with the 'blood poisoning', as I call it, they lead me to the shower stalls. A buff looking woman hands me some shampoo with disgust and guards the stall.
"Don't take too long!" I heard her grumble.
I shoot back and let out a loud shriek when the water brushes my skin. This is going to be a long day...

PostSubject: Re: Children of the Winged Generation: *Started/Not Accepting*   Children of the Winged Generation: *Started/Not Accepting* EmptySun Dec 19, 2010 8:24 pm

~Ren~

I read some stranger's mind for the day's news. As usual, it was quite...interesting. So, Fawn and Lunar were together. Not exactly what I was expecting, but hey, even I can't predict the future.
Stretching my back, which was unpleasantly sore after sleeping on the ground, I glanced sleepily around the cell. Nothing out of place. Good.

Then I placed a hand on my collarbone, and realized that was most definitely not the case. The cerulean stone that usually hung around my neck was absent, leaving in its place a strong feeling of emptiness. "Damn," I muttered, clenching the hand that was still at my neck into a tight fist. My nails bit sharply into my palm, likely drawing blood, but my mind was a million miles away from the pain.
Someone's going to pay dearly for this.

|~*~|

My search was frantic, and I felt a sort of compelling madness as I raced around the space we were enclosed in, reading the minds of everyone in my path. So far, the culprit hadn't--

Wait. That girl, over there...Amythest. She knows something, I thought to myself as I scanned her mind, looking for any sort of a clue. She wasn't the perpetrator, that much was clear, but she was connected somehow. Rather than ask her directly (something I rarely did because it was far too troublesome), I continued to dig through her thoughts and memories. Clearly, she was very good at hiding things. Nothing was at all obvious until I reached the deep recesses of her mind. The...the...

There were no words to describe that accursed boy. Lunar! I should've known...But then, where was he hiding...? Ah! Right, the news from earlier. He was probably wherever Fawn was...Which was likely her cell. Disgusting, hormonal teenagers...

I wasn't about to go in there, not while they were together. There was too great of a chance I'd...interrupt something. Of course, I wasn't at all sensitive to that kind of thing (you grow up around it, in the institute), but I didn't want to dredge up any memories or awkward situations.
On my way back to my cell (during which I was minding my own damn business, unlike some people), I bumped into yet another careless straggler. Only, this time, it was a quite fortunate occurance. My hardened silver gaze softened as it fell upon the older boy standing in front of me, his soft blond hair slicked back.

"Dieter," I greeted him, offering a small smile. He didn't return the gesture; rather, his face retained its usual solemn look. The smile instantly vanished. "It was...bad news?"

"The worst," he sighed quietly, running a hand through his unruly bangs (which always fell into his face, despite his best efforts). It felt like my stomach had dropped onto the ground, leaving an empty, gaping hole that was soon filled by fear. A harsh, chilling, and all-too-familiar fear. His death might've been sudden, but I'd felt this dread weeks before it actually took place. I wasn't able to place a name on it then...Now, though, I knew, and really wished I didn't.

"So...there's nothing they can do?" I asked desperately, clutching the hem of my gown like a lifeline. When he shook his head, that lifeline was duly severed.

"I've got about a week, if I'm--" his words were suddenly broken by a series of loud coughs, after which blood stained his deathly pale skin.

As I later parted from Dieter, necklace forgotten, I was determined to find a way to keep him alive, no matter the cost. Those scientists be damned, I was not going to lose another one.

Unfortunately, I'd made the wrong move. Something sinister was lurking ahead, and that necklace was connected to it in a way I had yet to understand.

And I hadn't even noticed they'd skipped my daily dosage...

They only do that when you're on death row.

~Tobi~
~Eh...Hope ya'll don't mind how spontaneous this is, I try to fit it in as best I can...And build up some suspense as well, hmm?~
~We needed another guy character, and Dieter just...He just appeared! DX I'm sorry...
~Oh, and whoever shows up next, we really need to plot out the space they have, and whether or not their movement is limited, because I've just kinda been giving Ren free reign of the whole place...~

Name: Dieter (Army of the People)

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Appearance: Another blondie (light blond), short and choppy, usual slicked back, but some of his bangs fall into his face. Your average male height (maybe 5'11/6'0-ish). His eyes are vibrant blue, though they've dulled over time. He has a sickly pale complexion.

Wings: They were once a beautiful gold, but have since dimmed to a near-brown color.

Personality: He's a very kind, generous young man, but time has taken its toll on him. He's probably the oldest subject there. He and Ren are more or less in the same boat; their particular group of friends was brutually murdered. Unlike Ren, however, he's not so much angry as he is sad. There's just a sort of sad air about him; it weighs him down. He has his cheerful moments, though, and he's extremely skilled with engineering. In fact, he's more or less a genius when it comes to rocket science. ;D

Up For Love? Well, he's an all-around nice guy, but he's terrified of the implications of falling in love with someone in that place (though Fawn has tried to make a move on him before, poor guy).

Powers: Water freak.

Secret: He's dying of a disease the doctors have yet to cure, and he was born far outside the institute. Even he isn't quite sure how he ended up there.

~Fawn~

Lunar and I walked slowly down the hallway to his cell. He had my hand in his, and we both looked around, as if we were in the hallway for the first time.
We weren't.
It wasn't long before the silence was broken by the sound of the handle turning, accompanied by the creaking of his door opening. He led me in, and I flopped down on his bed. I heard the dresser drawers open and close as he changed into his pajamas.
"This sucks." I frowned, staring at the cealing. I knew he knew what I was talking about.
"Yeah, it does."
I sat up as he sat down. He was wearing an undershirt and a pair of boxers on. I laughed. His boxers had Superman all over them.
"What?" He made a face. "I thought girls thought this was hot." He frowned, which made me laugh harder. God. Superman. Of all superheroes. I covered my mouth, shook my head, and let the laughter die down.
"Well?" He asked.
"What?" I said.
"Is it hot?" I giggled.
"Sure." I replied. I lay back down on his bed. It smelled like him. Mint, sky, and Axe. I took a deep breath.
"What do I smell like?" I broke the silence.
"It depends," He leaned over me, stdying my face. "Your hair--" He leaned down and sniffed my hair. "-- Smells like fruit and sugar." I smiled.
"Your clothes," He sniffed the my shirt. "Smells like perfume and honey." I smiled wider.
"And you," He continued. "You smell like freshly mown grass and kitchen spices." I reached forward and hugged him. He was so sweet.
"Unfold your wings." He whispered in my ear. I was about to ask why, but I shrugged it off. I felt the skin on my back dissolve and I stretched my wings out behind me. He leaned farther over me, almost to the point where I thought he was going to fall over. I lay there quietly as he examined my wings.
"What are you looking for?" I asked.
"Something to tell me what I'm dreaming... But I'm not." I laughed, then finished with a yawn.
"Tired?"
I nodded. I crawled under the covers after pausing to admire his fit body. I yawned again and felt him climb in beside me. The last thing I remember before falling asleep was him rolling over and draping his arm over me.

~Ren~

I growled in irritation, practically clawing at my bare throat. Gone...Gone...! Dammit! That settled it, Fawn or no Fawn, I was getting that stone back. The idiot would just have to deal with it.

Getting back into my wheelchair from my perch on the bed was easier said than done. As I struggled to keep both myself and the chair upright, I felt an extra pair of hands helping me out. Skylark had seen the difficulty I was experiencing and took it upon herself to help me out. She was tightly wound, though; something was clearly distracting her to the point where she'd nearly chewed through her bottom lip.

"So, it bothers you too," I noted, absently playing with a stray piece of my blue hair (which had never before seen a pair of scissors).

She glanced over at me sharply, her brow furrowed. "How did you...?"

"I may be a mind freak, but it didn't take any special skills to read the pissed look on your face," I replied, smirking. "Don't worry, I won't invade your privacy...Unless I need to."

Her expression remained calm, but I hardly missed the way her posture tensed up. Ever since I regained my sight, it'd been my strongest sense. Well, aside from my unique mental capabilities.

...I'll be leaving you to your own devices, she thought, clearly directing it at me. I shrugged; it wasn't as if I had any reason to protest that. If I made her uncomfortable, as I did to everyone, it was within her rights to get back to her own little universe.

My goal was still perfectly clear in my mind as I rolled down the hall, but I was interrupted by a burly military man.

"Subject 201?"

"Yes, that's me."

"Dr. Chevek wants to see you. And when ya' get there, please remind her that we ain't her vassals. Next time she wants one of you freaks, she can get her Donkey\'s Posterior down here and get ya' herself," he informed me, as eloquent as is to be expected of soldiers. I offered him a short nod in response and veered to the right, this time headed towards the office of Dr. Zlata Fedosia Chevek.

|~*~|

"Do you know why I have called you here?" Dr. Chevek asked shortly after I arrived, while she was examining my legs. Her voice still held a slight trace of her Russian accent, even though the country had been divided over five years ago.

"I assumed it was for one of your random check-ups, but if there's some deeper meaning to you staring at a lost cause, I can only begin to guess at it," I retorted, my voice dripping with sarcasm.
She chuckled lightly, neither confirming nor denying my accusation (if it could be called that). Her seemingly unbreakable focus on what she was doing unnerved me, as well as my inability to read her mind.

"I am not a "mind freak", but your rapid pulse tells me you are uncomfortable in my presence, Renata," she said quietly, her piercing blue eyes staring up at me. I shifted uneasily, feeling like a bug under a magnifying glass. If she kept up the staring, I feared she might set me on fire.
"You have complete access to my files, Zlata. Am I supposed to be shocked that you know my full name?" She shook her head, a slight smile on her face. It was likely she considered me "childish"; she probably doubted my ability to play "adult" mind games.

"No. You haven't made any progress...But, as you guessed, I did not call you here to give you a "check-up". In truth, I'm far more interested in those eyes of yours," she admitted, not breaking eye-contact with me as she stood. "However, that is not the true matter either. I have some information I thought you'd be interested in."

Information...?

"You're being watched, Ren. All of you. They know everything,and they are going to use you until the day you die."

~Skylark~

I stormed down the hallway dripping wet. A huge trail of water stalked me the whole way to Lunar's cell. My soaking wet hair covered my eyes, and I wasn't in the best mood ever. I kicked open the his door to find him and Fawn cradled in each other's arms. It would have been nice to watch if I wasn't so wet. They practically had a heart attack when I burst into the room like a rabid wolf.

"They gave me a danm shower!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. Both of their jaws fell to the floor in shock. Then Lunar started laughing like a maniac.
"Oh, so you think this is funny!?"
"No, its not. It's HILARIOUS!" I looked towards the window in his cell. He forgot to close it. I got a wonderful, wicked idea.
"Well, I'll give you your OWN personal shower!"

The skies turned black, and rain began to pour into the cell like a waterfall. Fawn let out a shriek. Water was crashing in over Lunar's head, his mouth still hanging open. I snickered. Awh. Such a romantic moment. Fawn sat right where she had been, and she turned to look at me in shock. I don't think she was near as shocked about the water than she was about me in Lunar's cell. I smiled.

"Don't worry, the water will stop soon." I walked over to Lunar and patted him on the head. "Don't you forget about tonight," I whispered to him.
"Yeah," he managed through his own personal waterfall, "like I would."

I returned to the door, faced them and curtsied.
"Hope y'all don't take this too personally," I said as I silently closed the door.

I could hear Fawn yelling at Lunar. "What did you do!?"
"Enjoy the water?" He responded loud enough so that I could hear. She giggled. Yup.

Love sick teenagers. I thought about what Ren would have said. I shrugged and walked down to Ren's cell. I opened the door quietly. So, whadya think of that, Ren?
She nodded in approval. That's good. She looked so distracted, though. So distant. I decided to leave her alone. I exited her room and walked to mine across the hallway. Might as well make some use out of this horrid hair of mine. I began braiding my hair into tight little braids.

I spread out onto my bed and set my alarm clock to 2:45 AM. I really do love the moon. I began to drift asleep.

~Lunar~

The water had stopped completely by now, but I still sat there. Fawn just kinda sat where she had been for the past hour, and everytime I moved, her eyes followed me. We held that awkward silence for the next 30 minutes. She finally broke it.

"What was that about?" She said as calmly as she could manage. I shrugged.
"Skylark doesn't like water very much...." I knew that wasn't the only reason, but I didn't want Fawn to get mad at her and go insane.
Oh, yeah. Like I'm supposed to believe that crap. C'mon, Lunar. Tell me the real reason.
I shook my head and grinned. I stood up and shook my wings, sprinkling some water onto Fawn.
"C'mon, girly. The water ain't that bad." I smirked and threw my head back.
"No. It's actually quite nice. What's gonna happen tonight, the thing that Skylark mentioned?"
"Nawh, it's nothing. Just a lunar eclipse."
"Could I stay up and watch it with you?"
I nodded. "If you can stay up that late."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I looked out my window at the moon. It just hung there in the sky, no stars surrounding it or anything. I have to admit, it looked pretty lonely. Fawn was sitting up on top of my bed, staring outside at the moon.
It's amazing...
I nodded. I heard something coming from the wall next to me. It was like a whisper, but Fawn didn't seem to hear it.
Lunar! Lunar, can I come in?
Skylark.... She must have gotten lonely watching the eclipse by herself. We used to watch them together until Fawn started sleeping in my room. We were usually the only ones awake at night.
I slip up against the wall and whisper to her.
"No, not now. Tomorrow night, okay?"
"Okay..." she whispers back faintly. "G'night."
I walk towards the bed and find Fawn curled up on the mattress. I pick up a flashlight and shine it in her face.
"Good morning, sunshine!"
"G'night,'' she mumbles back.
I lay down on the bed and cradle her in my arms until I too fall asleep.
PostSubject: Re: Children of the Winged Generation: *Started/Not Accepting*   Children of the Winged Generation: *Started/Not Accepting* EmptyWed Dec 22, 2010 2:16 am
Name: Devon Seóras.
Age: 18.
Gender: Male.
Appearance: Devon is tall, about 5'9, with shoulder length, pitch black hair, lightly tanned skin and stormy, dark blue eyes. He is slim and athletic, often appearing somewhat weak, though he is stronger than he looks. He is often seen smirking or gazing blankly into the distance. Sometimes seems to look straight through you. Don't be discouraged though, he's not as distant as he seems.
Wings: Dark red that fades into black at the tips.
Personality: Despite his somewhat playful and arrogant first impression, Devon is actually kind, loving, caring, smart, determined, loyal and fierce, though very easily distracted. He hates to see those he cares about hurt. He can get really defensive if someone he likes is harmed, and if you start asking questions about his past, he’ll often shut down and just not talk if you bring up anything to do with his family, and if he doesn’t shut down, he’s get mad—really mad. And a mad Devon is a rare sight, and this is not a good thing, either. And although he’s talented, his downfalls are his short temper and those who try to pry into his past. He’s quiet and thoughtful more often than not and thinks a lot before speaking or doing something. He likes to plan things out, if he can, and dislikes when his plans are thoroughly screwed up by stupid mistakes. And he has made a few mistakes in the past, and dislikes when this is pointed out. He also hates being called helpless or a coward—it’s another downfall of his. Devon may have a blank, cold and uncaring edge to his expression, like he’s lost all emotion or just doesn't care about the rest of the world. This is because he's feeling somewhat sad. Sadly, he's not sure how he ended up in the lab.
Up for love? Sure, why not?
Powers: Fire Freak.
Secret (Everyone has one): When he first arrived at the island, he caused an accident in one of the labs, killing several people. He still feels guilty over this. Just the first of many mistakes.
Name: Rocket
Age: 10
Gender: Male
Appearance: Very pale with white hair. Eyes are a shocking blue. His hair is always standing on end like he put a knife in an electric socket.
Wings: A bright yellow color with flecks of black and grey. 6 foot and growing wingspan
Personality: Rocket is a bright, fun, sweet, hyper boy. If there's an awkward silence or tension in a room, he's the one to break it with a pun or a joke. He's loud and outgoing, and most everyone loves him. Except for Fawn. But she's his older sister, so she kind of has to love him deep down.
Up for love?: Uh... Sure... But he's ten... so....
Powers: Electricity freak
Secret: Rocket doesn't work very well under pressure, nor does he like to be alone. He used to sleep in Fawns room if he got lonely, but since she started sleeping in Lunar's cell, he's been getting freaked out.
~Rocket~
Bored. Bored. Bored. Lonely. Bored. Bored. Rocket ran his fingers through his bright white hair. He missed Fawn. Being a little freak was hard enough. But doing it alone? Forget about it. He was the only subject at the institute without a cellmate, and since Lunar came along, there was no more bunking with his older sister Fawn.
I have testing in an hour. Maybe I can find Fawn and talk to her before I get started. Rocket always found that the needles hurt less right after being with his sister. He shot out of his lonesome cell like, well, a rocket, and went on a Fawn hunt.
The air in the hall smelled like smoke, which probably meant that some fire freak had a little tantrum. Rocket ued to have tantrums. He laughed out loud at the memory of the five scientists he hit with enough voltage to send them flying across the room. However, the laugh was cut short at the memory of the hours of painful punishmens that occured after the event. He still had scars from the red hot metal whip they used on his back.
"Good morning Skylark. You seen Fawn?" Skylark was rushing down the hall, obviously angry. However, upon seeing Rocket's face, she became visibly happier. This seemed to happen often. Rocket's usually happy disposition was contagious to most of the people arouund him... Except Ren.
"Hey there Rocket. She is with Lunar. Good luck breaking into that love-fest, though." She said with a smile dripping with frustration. Rocket knew that Skylark had lost a friend after Fawn and Lunar became so close. They had that in common.
Rocket put a hand on one of Skylark's long, blonde braids."Skylark, I am sorry." If anyone else had ever touched her hair, she would have had them on the floor and breathless in a second, but she simply nodded to Rocket and grinned.
"It's OK, man. Just give Lunar a nice zap for me when you see him, OK? He skipped out on our plans to watch the eclipse last night. My revenge is not yet complete." She laughed, but Rocket saw the anger and hurt she felt. She really liked Lunar, whether she showed it or not.
Rocket nodded quickly and and whispered, "Trust me, I'm way ahead of you, Skylark." And with that, he continued down the corridor.
It was not long until he stumbled upon Lunar and Fawn. They were sickening, holding hands and laughing. "Fawn! Fawn!" Rocket called, waving excitedly. His sister looked up, waved, and continued teasing Lunar about something. Rocket's little hands balled into fists. Why do they get their own little world that nobody else is allowed in? It isn't FAIR! This is all Lunar's fault. Me, Skylark, we didn't diserve to get abandoned by our friend. Lunar broke us up. It was rare for Rocket to lose his temper, yet the lightsbulbs hanging from the ceiling above him exploded and tiny glass shards rained down into his spikey hair, which was beginning to spark like a spoon in a microwave.
Fawn's attention immediatly was pulled to her little brother. She saw his face, contorted with rage, and ran to him, aware of what was coming. "Rocket, no! Calm down! This can't happen agai..." But Fawn was to late. Lighting flew from Rockets fists straight into Lunar's chest, sending him through a window and into an examination room where he lay on the floor, unconcious.With a final spark and a wail of pain, Rocket fell to the floor as well.
Then, the entire institute went into a state of panic
*****So? How's it going? I'm hoping this will get the plot moving a bit... Maybe lead to more action and drama? BTW, Lunar and Rocket are fine. Nobody dies yet. Smile
Children of the Winged Generation: *Started/Not Accepting* Empty
~Ren~
I was escorted back to my room feeling more somber than ever, when the sound of breaking glass, pained cries, and quite a few hysterical shouts met my ears. The guard at my side remained unaffected, but as we drew nearer to the scene, I noticed quite a few scientists running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Fools.
My guard, apparently as curious as I was, grabbed one of them by the collar. "What happened?" he snarled at the poor fellow.
"I-it's one of the s-subjects," the pitiful scientist stammered, pointing down the hall. "I-it suddenly attacked, and then collapsed..."
The only person I knew who collapsed after freaking was Rocket. That stupid boy was going to kick it sometime soon if he kept chasing after Fawn. As his sister, though, I was a bit disappointed in her. Blood was more precious than anything or anyone else in this place. If you had real family in here, you'd better keep them close.
I scanned the scientist's mind, skimming over everything that wasn't important, and picked up on his most recent thoughts. "Dammit, my orders aren't to stabilize the subjects! I need to get back to--" Here, his thoughts suddenly cut off, as if they were being blocked from me. Hmm...so what Dr.Chevek said was true...
That aside, I needed to go inspect the collateral damage. Chaotic emotions made it very hard for me to be around these people; I'd have to calm them down a bit, maybe fix a few relationships...Ha. If that were a joke, it'd go down in the world record of jokes. Me? A people person? That was like saying Oprah was a poor, manipulative gambler who lived on the streets. Nonetheless, all of their ridiculous emotions would be quite a bother.
The guard left me once we reached the scene of the crime. Unsurprisingly, Fawn was more worried about stupid Lunar than her kid brother, Skylar was freaking out over both of them, Devon stared at them with slightly more emotion than usual, and Dieter stood off to the side, observing them as well. Oh, and now that I looked, Lena was huddled in a corner, her strange green eyes locked on Fawn.
Deciding he looked the least hysterical, I wheeled myself over to Devon. I'd never actually spoken to him before (anti-social, remember?), and really, I would rather have asked Dieter. After what Dr. Chevek had told me, I was forced to recognize the need for group unity...Even though I hated the mere thought of working with these imbeciles.
"So. What's going on here?" I asked the dark-haired boy, observing his facial expressions carefully. First, the usual shock that I was speaking, then, further shock that I'd spoken without insulting anyone. Not in his face, though; it was all in his thoughts. His face didn't give away anything.
"Well," he began, choosing his words carefully, "It looks to me like Rocket got jealous. Honestly, though--"
"You can't really blame him," I finished for him, feeling a little smug as surprise flashed across his face. "I'm a mind freak. There's not much that can keep me out, either."
He nodded slowly, thinking, That makes sense. He looked slightly more wary than before, though, and was clearly trying to block off part of his mind. Eh. Screw trust, blunt force works better anyway.
Of course, being the nice person I am, I was hardly going to force my way into his mind. Instead, I chose to move over to Dieter, who still hadn't gotten involved in the scene. Now that I thought about it, Devon and Dieter were almost complete opposites appearance-wise...And ability-wise, and probably personality-wise. Well, that was just too bad. I was Dieter's official opposite...Though, I supposed, it wouldn't be entirely awful if we had another force working towards us...Maybe this Devon guy was a medical genius.
It was too bad, really, that'd I'd already lost interest in the people in front of me. What was unfolding there was so similar to a soap opera, it would've been entertaining to watch.
~Tobi~
~Heheh, yes, I'm leaving what happens with them entirely up to you guys. None of my characters are really involved yet. Also, Scar-chan, I hope you don't mind how I portrayed Devon...It was a bit difficult, seeing as he hasn't interacted with the group just yet. Also, I would like his little "accident" to tie into what happened to Ren's friends. Is that okay?~
It's okay, cheez! She was only watching for five or so seconds! It's fixable. By the time her attention shifted, Fawn could be running over to Rocket...
Fawn
I stared as Rocket spazzed... Again. The bulbs began to blow out and the plaster of the ceiling cracked and caved in right next to Rocket.
This is our chance
"Everyone, out!" I shouted down the hall. Lena flew immediately out of the hole in the roof followed by a wheelchair-toting Ren, Skylark, and all my other friends. I left Lunar and hurried over to Rocket. I knew I had to have Rocket. If I couldn't save Lunar, I would be happy with Rocket by my side.
Alright Fawn. It's you versus them. You can do this.
I reached down and yanked Rocket over my shoulder by his arms. I caught a glimpse of the while, sterile lab coats running toward me. I cursed and ran back to Lunar. His eyelids were fluttering.
"F-Fawn?" He murmured.
"Shh," I put my hand on his cheek. "It's okay, hun. We're leaving." It took all my might to pick him up and run back to the icky floor beneath the hole in the ceiling. The scientists were nearing, shouting at me and flailing their arms all about. I laughed loudly, making sure they heard me.
"So long, whitecoats!" I shouted. With that, I pushed my wings dawn as hard as I could, and watched as I rose up and out of the hole, the angry lab specialists ascending, shouting and cursing our name. I banked a hard right.
I was flying.
I had dreamed of this ever since I was little girl. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, feeling the wind blow my short hair back behind me. It was great, flying. I felt so free.
This was how life should be. I had my boyfriend in my arms, my brother on my back, and my family around me.
~Rocket~
I didn't wan't to wake up. This was the best dream I had ever had. I was with Fawn, and we were sitting on a cloud, just talking. I could feel the warm setting sun on my cheek and a cool breeze run through my hair. This was everything I had ever hoped for, and I refused to leave.
"Rocket, Rocket..... ROCKET!"
My eyes flew open, and I was ready to shock the crap out of the idiot who woke me up, but all I saw was Fawn's smiling face and a background of vivid blue. Nothing like the bland white walls of the Institute. The feeling of weightlessness suddenly overtook me and my wings instinctivly flew open. The soreness I felt in them was nothing compared to the feeling of the wind ruffling my feathers.
Fawn chuckled. "Feeling better, I see. How's this compared to running laps around your room?" She laughed harder at the memory of us, as small children, sprinting in circles around my dorm in attempts of getting out our energy. This was better. One hundred million BAZILLION times better.
I soaked in everything around me. A blanket of blue resting on top of a sea of white. I could see nothing below the clouds, however I could see the bodies of four or five other freaks a few miles ahead of us: Ren who was lugging her wheelchair below her, Skylark, Devon, Dieter, and if there were any others, I could not see them. When In looked back to Fawn, I noticed Lunar flying a few yards away to her right, looking tired and obviously worried I would freak out on him again. Shame filled me at the recollection of this memory, and I hung my head.
"Oh, stop it, Rocket! Don't you know you are the one who got us outta there?" she hollered "You're like a hero, little bro!" A hero? Me? I immediatly cheered up at the thought. The day is saved once again (with only a few minor injuries) thanks to Rocket Boy!!! Fawn rolled her eyes at this. I had forgotten she could hear everything I thought. I apologized quietly to Lunar, who grinned and nodded to me. I was forgiven.
After doing a few happy loopty-loops, I inquired, "So, Fawn, what's the plan? Where are we headed?" She laughed her bubbly laugh and looked to Lunar for an answer.
He smiled back at the both of us and shouted, "Who cares?!"
And for once I agreed with the guy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So there you you have it! Hope this helps move the story along! Please let me know if anyone needs something changed from this to go along with their continuation. WRITE ON, YOU GUYS!!!! I can't wait to see how this turns out!
