At Last, Hope

At Last, Hope
a poem by Tobi J.

A hand, ever so gentle
Graces the snow,
Ever so lightly

A face, ever so peaceful
Looks out into the distance,
Ever so calmly

A time will come to pass
When this moment will end
The truth will sink in
Tranquility lost

But for now, ever so brilliantly,
Hope will prevail,
Ever so beautifully

Acceptance, ever so heartening
Will shine upon that face,
And take that hand,
Guiding, ever so carefully

This is the end, ever so sorrowful
Yet the light seen,
Ever so bright
Is not an illusion

The road does not end here
Will it ever?
Not so long as this, the final moment
Is one of hope


I pretty much never write poetry that's at all happy, but I was listening to the "Song Of Parting", and this is what came out. ;D Hope it's not too bad, I only write poetry on the rare occasions I'm feeling a tad sentimental.

I think your poem was beautiful. Death is something we must all face; I've known that since I was 6. A poem that isn't too dark, but true, is wonderful. Most poeple avoid thinking about death, but it's going to happen, no matter how much you don't want it too, so why not come to terms with it? Again, great job Tobi.
