| Subject: A Genderless Child? Fri May 27, 2011 9:23 pm | |
| Okay, for those of you who don't look at MSN.com whenever you get on the computer, here's the backstory. There is a couple in Canada (sad, I know) who decided to raise a genderless child. The baby's name is Storm, and no one besides one close friend, siblings, and the mid-wife know what gender little Storm actually is. They say it's because they want the child to grow up without being sterotyped, and they want Storm to have more options. Question: Is this right? Is keeping the sex of their baby a secret going to help them later in life, or damage them? Answer: You decide. Perhaps you think it's a good idea, because Storm won't be pressured into liking girly/boyish things. Or maybe you think it's crazy. How is keeping the gender of their baby secret going to help it later in life? I'm interested in your answer, and I'm not going to post my reply until after I have a few. So decide, my friends, and post. -Rachelle41 | |

| WARNING: SALTY LANGUAGE
What the hell? First, you have kids who are going to make fun of it. Next, the kid's gonna know what gender it is "Alright kids, time for the lesson on puberty!" If the kid is a boy and goes with the girls, he's gonna know something's wrong. And vise versa. Choices? What the hell? The only "choices" it'll have is picking if it wants to be a girl or a guy! If it has a penis and like My Little Pony, then hell, this kid's gonna be gay as Chris Colfer! If it have a vagina and likes the Hot Wheels, then you probably have a lesbian up in here. Yeahyeah, steriotypes, but lets be honest. WHAT THE HELL WERE THESE GUYS THINKING!? | |

| Okay, a little strong language, but understandtable. At least I'm not the only one who thinks it's crazy. Not to mention, what is this kids siblings going to think? They were told, "Okay, Storm is a boy/ girl (whochever gender it is), but you can't tell anyone that." As they said in the news article on MSN.com, isn't that going to make an impression on them? I suggest you read tha article for some background info. -Rachelle41 | |

| Its really weird and pretty stupid. The kid isn't even going to pick its gender-its was either born a boy or a girl. They're just going to confuse the poor thing! Consider that God knows best and he made the baby what it is. The kid is just gonna be exposed to both girl and boy toys and it'll probably side with the toys of its gender. By the time its in public school it'll have to decide cause they have seperate bathrooms. *roll eyes* The people just wanna be famous. It'll turn out to be nothing big. | |
