What Do You Do For The Holidays?

Happy Holidays, my Wonderland family! I just wanted to ask you what your family does on the holidays. Do you celebrate Christmas, or Hanukkah, or maybe something else entierly? What was your favourite gift ever recieved, and your favourite one given? Do you have a tradtion in your family, like going to Christmas mass or lighting an advent wreath? Let everybody know, but first, I'm going to answer my own questions.

I celebrate Christmas, but I think Hanukkah is beauitful. Those are the only holiday celebrations that I really know about.
My favourite Chrsitmas present that I've ever gotten is probably what I want this year- an awesome slide, touch-screen cell phone.
The best gift I've ever given wasn't even around Christmas- it was a hat and scarf to my friend and her younger sister because they were going through a hard time.
I wish we lit my advent wreath every year, but this year was really busy and we didn't.

We celebrate Christmas, and this year, since we're going through rough times, there's less under the tree...for us. My niece (this is her second Christmas) has completely filled up what we call "the Baby Jail". It's one of those pens that little toddlers are supposed to play in, but it's so tiny, I just dubbed it "the Baby Jail." It keeps her from tearing off all the wrapping paper. I don't celebrate any other holidays, but I'm interested in Hanukkah, Kwanza, and the Chinese New Year.
My favorite Christmas present...I don't really have one. I love all my gifts, and there's been too many for me to just pick a favorite. I do have favorite gifts among the one's I've given. 1) I wrote a story for my friend, and wrapped it up with a box of chocolates. It was her first wrapped Christmas present, and that made feel sad and really happy at the same time. 2) The gifts I'm giving this year, which haven't been opened yet, and took about 3 and a half hours each. I painted each of my relative's favorite country (Hetalia-ized), with the flag as a background. I'll try to take a picture of each and post it on here. ;D
I dunno about advent wreaths. I'm not even sure what that is...But, we have a few traditions. Every year, we set aside a day for decorating cookies with my cousins, and a day for making all of our secret family recipes. Then, on Christmas Eve, we all open the presents from our family members after eating a "feast"; today, each of us gets to make our own dish to add. I'm making deviled eggs WITHOUT relish. That way I get to eat all of them! Also, I'm fasting until that time comes, so my stomach is starting to growl really loudly...

Well! On MONDAY, I'm going up to see my insane, half-blind grandmother. She paints, she cooks, and she has this awesome chopping block that we all sign the bottom of when we go there! Why? Because Grandma Jane has six kids! They all love the chopping block, and they sign and date it when they go up there. Whoever was there most recently when she dies gets the chopping block. :3

For Christmas we always attend a Christmas Eve service at my church and open a few presents Christmas Eve night. On Christmas we open ALL of our presents and our Grandma (Nannie) comes over and we eat a big Christmas day dinner. But this year my dad has to work and so we're having the dinner TONIGHT (Christmas Eve). So yeah.
Best Gift Given: A stuffed build-a-bear doggy to a little girl named Abby at my church.
Best Gift Recieved: If Jesus counts, than this is SO His section, but if He doesn't (which he so should) it's probably teh cell phone I really hope to get this year.
