The deep gray clouds tumble through the sky on their cue
The world grows darker with the sun out of our view
A cool and heavy breeze a'stirs
A soothing sound, like a joyful cat's purr.
As the leaves rustle in the wind
A sharp crack of a whip happens
It is soft from a distance, so far away
It draws closer and closer, much to close I should say.
There is a quick flash from the sky
Zeus's lightning bolt will never die
It is a dagger in the heart for it's victims
But a beautiful picture to those who missed 'em.
This happens repeatedly in most storms
But to many, it's beauty will never be worn
But alas! it takes someone special to see
How beautiful a thunder storm can be.
The rain drops fall from the heavens
Down to this one of a kind earth we live in
Like crystals of the sky
They hit the ground and scatter, screaming out their little cries.
No matter where you are
Near the rain or far
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass
It's about learning to dance in the rain.
I just loved the last stanza at the end. I REALLY loved the saying 'Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.' I was watching the rain this evening and decided to write about it. I thought it was beautiful, but like horses, they can be dangerous. The horse thing was random, but you get it. Hope you enjoyed the poem. ?
