Follow the Dust Empty
PostSubject: Follow the Dust   Follow the Dust EmptyTue Feb 23, 2010 10:11 pm

Ray curled up in her tree, the rain patter-patter-pattering over the smooth green leaves.

"Ray, the rainforest is beauitiful on rainy days."

"I don't think so."

Ray's brown hair was as brown as the dirt, her eyes as green as the rainforest canopy.

"Your wings get damp and they stick to you so you can't fly. It's horrible."

"Ah, I remember when you were little." Bloom said with a smile. "You had blonde hair like the sun. That's why we named you Ray. Sun rays."

Ray grinned. The name of their home, where all the faires lived was called Sun Ray Valley. Except it could rain and snow. But the sun shined a lot and when it did it shined beautifully. But she didn't like rainy days. She couldn't fly, got stuck inside and most of the time had to do chores. She hated shores. Well, she didn't really hate them. But they were at the bottom of the 'things to love' list. If they were on there at all.

I love love LOVE fairy stories! I think the main character's grumpiness about the rain is great "I don't think so." And the rainforest gives you a huge amount of settings to work with. Fantastic! Smile

Thank you! You're the first one to reply to this and I posted it during seventh grade! And this is the weekend of the third week of 8th grade! But I forgot where I have to rest, so it might take me a while to continue it.
