| The Christian Lie
He came to school, So bright and happy, The quiet atheist boy,
He never told them, His little secret, He knew what they would say,
They'd bring up God, And Hell and Fear, And make him confess,
The lie, And his freedom, Would die
Then one day on one of those camping trips, They asked him what he'd to say, On Jesus, Life and Reaching the Promised Land
He told them that he didn't believe, But told them that he was a good guy, That he'd never hurt, or make one cry
This is the harshness of the Christian lie, From that day on the atheist, Was a spider among flies:
They feared his individuality, Worse yet, the one that didn't believe in God, Made Him least upset!
For he was a golden apple, In the eye of The Gold-collector Who seeks for them without bruise or blemish
One day when he asked, About God and Heaven and Life They cursed him,
“But you don't believe anyway, And you're going to Hell anyway And God don't want you anyway now,”
He wept, This is the harshness of the Christian lie, From that day on the atheist, Was finally blinded,
Are you just a member, Of this Christian lie Are you just another hypocrite, No? Then why so 'fraid to die?

| I am a Christian by the way, I just dislike people who make us overly 'religous' and crazy. Note that last line. | |

| Dang. That fits it entirely. It happened to a kid down the street from me who used to be in my class....I was the only one who didn't treat him differently after he told us. He asked me about God, and I told him. It wasn't like God wasn't trying to get him back. But after I told him, I let him come to church with me a few times. After that, he started going regularly. One down, the rest I meet in my life to go :] Cheez | |

| I don't totally agree with this. Some people are really religious and thats good. More people going to Heaven, living for eternity in a good place. But . . . when they didn't bother telling him about God and Jesus and all that stuff, thats just wrong. If they ask, you should asnwer. I know a pastor who didn't do that, they asked, he didn't answer, sometime later (forgot when) he died. The boy who asked died. And he's not in Heaven. But if Steve, the pastor, had shared, he probably would be/ might be in Heaven. Steve had regretted it ever since. I try to share, but sometimes I don't. We're supposed to though. It says in the Bible. Hopefully I'll get back into it. And the boy said 'he was a good guy', sorry, but that doesn't get you into Heaven. But I think he knows that. I don't know. And they say 'God don't want you anyway'. WRONG! God does want you. He wanted that boy and wants everyone. Yeah, but this is a very deep poem. You can tell. In places it rhymes, in other places it doesn't. Its good I guess. Okay. Touchy subject mainly. Or maybe not. I don't know. Oh well, rather good. | |

| Well, Luv, the title IS the Christian Lie. I mean, it's a LIE that he doesn't want you, so basically, you just...well...you just repeated what he said entirely... :/ Cheez | |

| I'm not particularly religious. I mean, I believe and all, but I'm also a scientist at heart...Many (well, most) of the characters I write turn out being atheists. Honestly, though, if some kid said he was an atheist, well...I wouldn't really care. I mean, good for him, but he's not condemned. God's not just gonna disown the poor guy 'cause he doesn't really believe. And if they ask, answer. Simple as that. By the way, good point, cheez. Luv, I'm sure poor Steve wasn't condemned because of someone else's mistake. I personally believe all but murderers should have a place in Heaven. As for murderers, and people who intentionally slander His name, well...There's lot's of room in Hell I imagine.

| What do you mean, worthless? So sharing my opinion's worthless? Cheez, you have a point. I just re-typed the whole poem in paragraph form. Well, I sorta did. By the way Tobi, Steve didn't kill him. He feel asleep on a couch or something, was smocking something and the couch caught on fire. He knew another guy that was having sex outside of marriage and the girl he was doing it with got pregnant. So, the guy went and shot himself on the train tracks. He'd never shared the Gospel with him. Isn't that sad? Lots of people, later in there lives, feel bad/guilty about what they didn't do, then what they did. I bet those people in your poem regret what they didn't do. Oh and Cheez, hope you don't mind I shared the second story in here. | |

| I never said anybody killed anybody...I was just listing who I thought should go to Hell...Sorry for the misunderstanding. Oopsie, Steve was the pastor...I got confused. OH, I am laughing at myself now...Sorry, it was late, so I wasn't reading too carefully. Wait...so Steve got killed and the guy got killed? That's so depressing. I'm still confused...but if he commited suicide, then he wouldn't go to Heaven either 'cause that's technically murder. See, I just needed the backstory. But I get it now! Thanks for clearing that up, Luv~! This poem is great, but it makes me so saaad...I guess that's a good thing, though. ~Tobi~ | |

| Your opinion isn't worthless its just really irrelevant to the whole point of the poem. Don't think of it as a view of Christianity. You don't have to agree. This is the life of an atheist and The New Hero retold the story. Sorry if I came off mean. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. | |

| Okay, I really liked it. It's VERY true for ALOT of people. I think Luv has a point, too though. They probably should tell people, but their to afraid to. It's kinda like me, actually. I'm VERY shy, really. Though, when I know a person and such, I can tell them almost anything. But, actually, Hahaha, you did repeated pretty much the whole poem. Hehehe. It doesn't really matter if you're religous or anything, just that you believe. I think we better stop arguing over this. Cheez is gonna EXPLODE. Tick tock guys. I take that back. I will explode...... Sorry if I didn't get all the info that was carried here. I'm kinda in a rush. So let's not talk about it anymore, just commpliment it if ya like it and a few little details ta fix it and such. PLeeeaaaasssseee~!!!! PLease and thank you!! ~Swifty | |

| No Tobi. Steve, the pastor, is alive. He was the leader-pastor guy who spoke during Wake Up Weekend at my church, First Baptist Snellville. It was AMAZING. If you want to know more about it, I posted something about the game we did on Saturday in the Christian Writers area/box/fourm/whatever. | |
