Summers here, people! It's time to get a new bathing suite and walk the boardwalk at the beach. What are you going to do to pass the time? I have to do a summer health/PE course at Brookwood High, and then I have pre-band camp and band camp. What about you? Tell us all about it here, and please, spare no details.

I am reading A Tale of Two Cities, My Sister's Keeper, and doing the P.E/Health course.
Other than that, pool alllllll day for me.

My Sisters Keeper is supposed to be really sad. I'm going to read Where Are the Children?, and I'm probably going to wake up screaming from it. Not to mention that other form of torture, A Tale of Two Cities. It's so honestly horrible, and boring! I'm going to have my Kindle read it to me with a British accent. Maybe that will make it more interesting. I also have flute every week on Thursdays in June.

I'm doing summer P.E/health for all of June (from 7am-3:30pm, NOT FAIR!), a few color guard practices, pre band camp teh third week of July for three days and actually BAND CAMP the last week of July. Its sweat your butt off work, but I think it'll be fun. I'm reading A Take of Two Cities for my honors classes and My Sisters Keeper for the required reading. Then school starts and everything'll be crazy cause I'll be in the ninth grade. Wish me luck people!

Mwahaha, I so love my school's summer reading requirements. We have to read one book of our choice (from a list that's so long it's insane), and the book choices are mostly fun, modern stuff. Personally, as I am a total stick-in-the-mud, I chose 1984 by George Orwell. We read Animal Farm earlier this year, and I was really entranced by the allegory writing style, so...Yeah. I'm certain I'll enjoy it, though, and instead of writing papers, we get to discuss this book with whatever teacher listed it~!

Next week, I'm going on a week-long trip to...Wait for it...WASHINGTON D.C.. I know, I know, "Tobi, you haven't been to the capital of our totally awesome nation?". D; But I haven't had the time, and this is a trip organized by a few of my favorite teachers. I'm certain it will be epic; I'm a total history buff, and I'm considering a government position. They might, y'know, need me to save our wonderful country. I'll be sure to tell ya'll all about it when I get back~!

As for the rest of the summer, I'll probably be passed back and forth between friends and write. Write like my life depends on it, because it does. ;D

Life is like thunder; powerful, confusing, wonderous, loud, inexplainable, sudden, beautiful in ways you can't even begin to describe, and completely unexpected. Death is like lightning; it strikes even the most powerful things, and shoots through the ground to everyone nearby, leaving them with only a painful aftershock.

Almost dying changes nothing. Dying changes everything.

Cry me a river, build a bridge, and get over it.
