PostSubject: Rules: Erika's Survival Guide   Mon Oct 25, 2010 10:15 pm

"Rule number 52- Don't look at anybody. Rule number 53- Don't make contact with anybody. Number 54- Don't do anything stupid. Numb-"
"Too many rules! Middle School isn't- can't be that bad!"
I cut Miranda off before she could finish 'Rule #55'. She's exaggerating. Middle School obviously can't be THAT bad. I mean I know it's the first time in a public school and all but. . .
"Honey, it's a mixed up world out there, such a sad, sad, sad-"
I ignored the rest of her boring lecture of her repeating the word 'sad' about 15 more times. I have to admit, I was worried about middle school. Would there REALLY be cute boys there like in the movies? Miranda read my mind.
"No, Erika, it's not like those pathetic Disney movies where there are ALWAYS cuts boys and you'll fall in love and date the rest of your life," she continued. " They really need to stop making little kids think that. I mean, at least get a new story line or something."
"I am NOT a little kid!" I protested against her. I wasn't little, in height anyway. I was 5'7. Very tall for the average 6th grader I guess, because people would always comment on how tall I was and I would get confused with being an eighth grader.
" Why am I wasting my time with such a little immature little brat?" Miranda certainly wasn't the nicest big sister on the block.

. . . I had writers block, but I felt like writing. Smile So this is what I came up with. I may or may not write any more. Just a simple short story thingy.

I think, that for someone who had writers block, that was very good. When I have writers block (like I did last night) I get so annoyed at myself, beacuse I want to write, but I can't! More power to you for being able to come up with a story that made sense and had some facts in it!(EX-Middle school is not filled with cute boys) I like it, and I definatly think you should write more! Maybe about how middle school does turn out terrible, or it's totally awesome. However, the 5'7 thing was a litlle freaky, but that persone would defiatly be mistakin for and 8th grader, or maybe even a young teacher!(If they were seen from a distance) Keep on writing!

I was 5'9" as a sixth grader. It's kinda hurtful, calling tall people freaky...I mean, sure, at that age people kept asking me when I was graduating from college, but that doesn't mean I'm some sort of freak of nature or something. That's just bad prepositional phrases right there.

Hi Nikki-chan~! I like the rules...You should make a list of those. At first I thought Miranda was her mother, though...'Cause she seems more motherly than sisterly. I guess I wouldn't really know, though, seeing as I don't have any sisters I argue with. And yes, for a person with the dreadful illness of writer's block, this is a lovely little piece.

Life is like thunder; powerful, confusing, wonderous, loud, inexplainable, sudden, beautiful in ways you can't even begin to describe, and completely unexpected. Death is like lightning; it strikes even the most powerful things, and shoots through the ground to everyone nearby, leaving them with only a painful aftershock.

Almost dying changes nothing. Dying changes everything.

Cry me a river, build a bridge, and get over it.

I'm sorry if I ofended tall people in any way, I just thought it a little freaky to be that tall so young. Plus, I totally agree that writers block is an illness. If only we could stay home from school about it. lol!
