Working Title: Royal Treasures Empty

Dear Diary,
I am the second princess born to Tomas III and Jane Bridges, king and queen of England, of Britian. My older sister, Anna Marie, is sixteen and to be married in December. We are the only children of our parents, but Mother will have a baby in one month. Everyone hopes and prays that it is a boy. I sometimes feel guilty that I am not a boy. Then Mother and Father would not have to worry about who would rule their kingdom one day. But I wish I could. Yet no woman can be a king. Which means I cannot. But I wish I could have that power, that control. To rule with power and kindness, a kindness that only a woman would possess. I wish I could give that to the people. But my secret wish for power must remain secret. No one can know. What if I gain benefactors? Or what if someone tells my father? I know Father would not physically hurt me, but very easily he could hurt me emotionally. He could send me away to get married or to one of his many palaces without anyone I love and care for. I don't want that. So I must be quiet and act content. Though I am not. I do not think I will ever be.

Dear Diary,
I did not tell you the reason I started writing in you. Yesterday I started penmanship with a new teacher. He is eightenn years old and his name is Johnathan, though he asks to be called John. I think he is rather handsome and very kind. He gave me you, this book, to help me practice neat penmanship. Which I am doing now. But you are also my friend. It is hard to know who I can trust in this world. I do not know if my maids are completely loyal and I do not get to see other princesses much. So who do I trust? Who dio I assosate with? Anna is living with her to be husband, so we can only exchange letters and see each other on occasions. She claims that her husband does not love her. Here is a quote from one of her many letters:
' Jacob does not seem to love me. I have heard him argue with his father about me. He says he wants to marry someone named Jessica. I look forward to my future with him, but he does not seem to look forward to his future with me. It hurts. Like an arrow, it hurts deeply. Because I believe I love him. Yes, it is true, I love him.'
I was shocked when I first read this. At first she was there simply to provide a family as expected. Now a love has bloomed. How does that happen? Once you feel nothing, then you feel something. It does not make sense. Love is a strong thing. It can be disloyal, hateful, caring, possible and yet impossible. It depends who the lovers are and how they feel. Somtimes they will care and love is truely possible. However, sometimes it is disloyal and will hate or hurt or both and then love is truely impossible. I want to be happy with my husband forever. But I doubt that that is even possible. There is barely anyone I know that has lived happily ever after. And it's not forever yet.
Later,
I have had all my lessons. I saw John again. He is so handsome and young. He has no wife and no family. His mother died giving birth to him, he was her only child. His father and grandfather both died in a war. He lived with his grandmother till she died two years ago, when he was sixteen. He is not close to any uncles or aunts. But he is smart and kind and I look forward to his lessons, though I do not have a large taste for writing. However, I believe my love for writing growing as I write in you and enjoy John's lessons. Unlike my last tutor, he makes writing seem more then just words in a boring old book or useless information.
"When you write, you can create your own world. No one can tell you if something is impossible or not because you are the creator. You have the final and only say."
John told me that. It was like he was giving me access to the power I yearn for. He was telling me that I can have power and rule and the place can exsist. It can exsist in my head and heart and if shared, can exsist in there minds too. I can create a world. And no one can stop me.

Thanks for reading! I have more, but I will post it later.
Love,
Luv

PostSubject: Well of course   Working Title: Royal Treasures EmptyThu Aug 12, 2010 6:04 pm

Well of course it's that good! You are a brilliant writer! And thank you, thank you! For choosing to continue writing this magnificent piece! And I think I should be thanking you for writing this! Although, a writer is encouraged to continue writing by others thought. Comments have a huge effect on authors to encourage them on! Without comments, the person could feel down on there work and throw it in the "Failed Attempts' basket, when a it was really good. You shouldn't leave a good piece hanging so it can get thrown away and lost forever. Sorry for giving you a lecture, I'm just in a very pleasing and gleeful mood right now! Very Happy

It's totally fine and I agree with you. Comments on work are important, not just to writers, but to singers, actors/actressess, teachers, builders and more. Comments help people to understand the importantance of there work, missed grammer, name changes or anything like that. It also boosts the people's happiness about writing the piece, etc. Thanks! More will be coming eventually (I think).
Love you guys!
