Before you stole mine
I was born
And then I died
I laughed
And then I cried
We met then
In that lonely field
As I wept for my lost eye
We journeyed long and far
Far and wide
But never did we find
That missing beacon of sight
You left, then
Suddenly
Unexpectedly
Yet I did not cry
Many, many times
I was forced to wonder...
Why?
Why did we create?
Why did we kill?
Why did we build?
Why did we destroy?
Why was that cycle never broken?
Perhaps I will find my answer
In that long-gone eye
